Yesterday, I had the honor of decorating a three foot christmas tree with Katelyn. She is my bestest little buddy in the world. Although she was hoping for a pink one, this green one suited her just fine. She is such an amazing pleasure to be around. Her gray-blue eyes thrive with joy! When I pulled the tiny tree out of the box she exclaimed, "Is that it?!" Ha Ha! I think she was hoping for a whopper, but then again, so was I. ;) We had so much fun dressing our tree with sparkling snowmen, glittery globes, silly santas, and twisted candycanes. The ornaments were still in their wrappers and she was so impatient while I recovered them from their package. She twitled her finders and bounced her legs. Finally, she just started to unwrap them herself. She tore them from their wrappers with excited force, sending staples flying. When it was all done I turned down the light switch and she gasped at the beautiful sight of our little Charlie Brown tree. It does my heart a world of good to see that she finds joy in the smallest things. Her sweet mommy taught her well ;)
